When I was 7, I had a special notebook. It was black with pink and blue flowers on it. The pages inside weren’t lined and had a pink-tinted border with the same kind of flower design as the cover. Inside, it contained sketches. Not of dogs, or faces, or landscapes. Of websites. The internet was a mystery I wanted desperately not only to explore with, but to create with.
Fast forward 11 years, and my world has been shaped heavily by my experiences with web and design, both independently and together. I’ve created hundreds of really pathetic websites, and a couple really great ones that have changed my life. I’ve designed memes, infographics, tons of weird handouts, and even an entire book.
Despite all of this, there are actually things I still don’t know. My hope with this blog is to find new things to be passionate about, and to share the ways I’m refining skills in areas I’m already passionate about. I don’t really know how this will work out, since I have a tendency to start a website and then forget about it, but I’ve already invested a whole $11 in the domain name, so I better get at least $11 of use out of it.
